Controller (“the App”).

      ○ Used only to scan QR codes and barcodes. We do not store or share
      camera images.
   3. Location Data (Only for Sample Collection)
      ○ Collected only when you opt-in to collect air or water quality samples from
      our IoT devices.
      ○ This data is used exclusively for compliance and legal verification
      purposes.
   4. Future Features (if enabled by you):
      ○ Phone number (only if you choose to receive SMS alerts).
       
3. How We Use Information
   We use the information we collect to:
   ● Authenticate users and manage accounts.
   ● Allow you to interact with and control your IoT devices.
   ● Log GPS data during sample collection to ensure compliance and data validity.
   ● (Future) Provide optional notifications such as SMS or email alerts.
   We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
    
4. Legal Use of Data
   In rare cases, sample collection data (GPS + email) may be used in legal proceedings to
   validate environmental compliance. This is the only situation in which such data may be
   disclosed.

   ● Sample collection data (GPS + logs): Retained indefinitely, as it may be required
   for legal or compliance purposes.
    
6. Security
   We take security seriously:
   ● All data is transmitted securely via AWS API Gateway and AWS Lambda.
   ● Sample data is stored in AWS DynamoDB with restricted access limited to
   authorized administrators.
   ● User tokens are verified on every API call.
    
7. User Rights
   Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws:
   ● Access: You can request a copy of your personal data.
   ● Deletion: You may delete your account and associated data at any time.
   ○ Note: Sample collection logs cannot be deleted, as they may be required by
   law.
   ● Correction: You may update or correct your account information.

8. Children’s Privacy
   This App is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not
   knowingly collect personal data from children.
