Dropping in remote packages during COVID-19

Remoting monitoring with COVID-19  – no problem. Let’s drop in a monitoring package and go to work!

It’s a beautiful day on this Pacific Island. The wharf is about to be rebuilt and they need to understand the tidal range (referenced off the old wharf).

While the design process can continue, with the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions there are minimal flights operating, quarantine issues, and the border is closed to foreign nationals.

Thankfully logistics are still operating. So it was no problem to drop in a solar-powered, satellite comms measurement system and get a practical charter skipper to install.

Relevant data now seamlessly flows to the office or home (in a different country) and the design process carries on unimpeded.
