Geotechnical

Geotech techniques are well established with very cost-effective, remote monitoring. Seamlessly coupled with ancillary systems like PZT cameras, data & decision support are available in the office, home, or mobile device.

Mote works with domain specialists to deliver a range of standard and specialist real-time monitoring solutions. Common devices include inclinometers, piezometers, tiltmeters, extensometers, joint and crack measurement, strain gauges, load, and pressure cells. We implement and maintain reliable automated data flow to clients’ data platforms and reduce the level of manual intervention.

Research projects in this area are focused on delivering more flexible solutions that can be rapidly customised to specific projects and utilising emerging technologies to deliver more cost-effective real-time solutions whilst maintaining high measurement reliability. For example, cost-effective, high-resolution Fibre Bragg Grating (FBG) systems.
