We are often asked to either quantify an odour source or identify the chemicals present in an odour.
We are often asked to either quantify an odour source or identify the chemicals present in an odour.
This may be to confirm the percentage odour removal by emission control equipment or to assist with the identification of an odour source in order to resolve a nuisance odour issue.
We are frequently asked to quantify the odour emissions from for example, active landfills, waste water treatment plants, chicken farms or other sources. This often involves collecting a number of discrete samples triggered off a proxy measurement – for example a continuous hydrogen sulphide analyser to assess emissions from a leachate collection pond. The continuous measurement enabled us to place the grab samples into context. Samples were taken both from the leachate pond as well as the active landfill face and also from biofilters used to treat the odours.
